Janice Meraglia (janice.meraglia@adnas.com) of Applied DNA Sciences will present on SigNature DNA Marking: An Existing Solution for Verifying Authenticity at College Park, Maryland on June 25th.

Bio:

Janice Meraglia is Vice President for Government and Military Programs at Applied DNA Sciences. The company has developed proprietary methods which use botanical DNA as a base for creating unique SigNature® DNA markers as part of their authentication and forensic traceability program. She was the team leader of two DoD Defense Logistics Agency R&D projects that focused specifically on using SigNature® DNA to mitigate the risk of counterfeit electronic escapes entering the DoD supply chain. The success of these two projects led to the August 2012 action by DLA to require SigNature® DNA marking of all FSC 5962 microcircuits the Agency procures.

Janice is an active member of SAE G-19 Sub-committee, JEDEC JC-13, SMTA and AIA and has been a consistent voice in the industry and government discussions on counterfeiting and supply chain management since 2009.
