The consequences of changes in global electronics industry is that company executives are no longer willing to wait ten years for discoveries to revolutionize the market, but are calling on anyone and everyone to help gain a marketing edge today. Scientists and engineers in industrial research laboratories are finding that they must do more to increase revenues, do it faster, and on a smaller budget.
