Cost Analysis Helpful in Design Planning

P. Sandborn

ABSTRACT:

WHile traditional design planning rarely strays beyond performance issues such as timing, power, and signal integrity, global competition is forcing designers to consider manufacturability and the economics of electronic systems. Such considerations can avert significant design risk and increase the value of performance-optimization activities. Software tools can help in this kind of analysis.
