An Investigation Into PWB Component-Placement Tradeoffs
M. Pecht, M. Paomer, W. Schenke and R. Porter
Abstract:
The tradeoffs between routing and reliability were measured for various
component placements on a multi-layer, primarily digital, printed wiring
board (PWB). The PWB, which was tested, is typical of that used for
ultra high reliability radar units in an aerospace environment where conduction
cooling is used. The results are presented.
